Red is best. It's been scientifically proved.

How can Reading fans sing "your not fit to wear the hoops" to QPR when we don't even wear them. Bring it back.

That defies logic. They look awful on anyone.

I'll let you have one hoop at the top though, if you must.

And the goalkeeper should wear dayglo orange.

An argument that's been used for having the shite kit we have now is Premier League rules regarding a panel on the back.

Can anyone confirm exactly what they (and the Championship, of course!) are? Could we have continuous hoops around the shirt?

We need to keep the panel for the 2009/2010 season though!

I emailed them about this, the supposed rule is a load of bollocks.

I think that there *is* a rule for clubs in Europe, but that was never likely to affect us was it?

I agree that I definitely want hoops - and keep them nice and narrow, too, please - and hoopy socks; I'm ambivilent about the white shorts, though. I remember when we switched to blue, and I thought we were watching QPR (who then switched to white, to confuse matters more). Now I quite like the blue shorts, so we can keep them.

Oh, and could we possibly have shirts that don't rip the first time you put them on?

Take your pick, Bukta kits are my favourites. Got my first ever shirt in '78 from a sports shop on the Meadway precinct, made of some ridiculous material that ripped my skin to shreds ever time I wor it but I would still never take it off!

The 17 Bus We dont really need an away kit as we are allowed to wear our home kit due to being in the Royal County. Everyone knows that, tho we choose not to take this up too often.

Whoosh me if necessary, but that's an urban myth.

Most important kit choice ever, what with playing the false hoops and playing to get back up and reappear in a traditional Reading kit!

rg6royal I think we need to keep the away kit...I'm very much a fan of it.

we need the 93/94 away kit back, red and yellow hoops and black shorts, as sported at Huddersfield away that season in a 0-3 victory first day of that season. I loved that kit.

Please, no hooped socks. They make the players look like Pippi Longstocking.
