Rev Algenon Stickleback H
g does that mean madejski will keep trying to flog a dead horse to the chinese now that we ditched kyrocera?
What's Kyocera got to do with China?

It has to be said though, Waitrose does seem a bit of an odd sponsor. The kit is going to have to look really good now to overcome having that on it.

Why, the Waitrose logo is simply the word Waitrose. The Kyocera logo was pretty much just the word Kyocera.

It will look no different on a shirt at all.

I don't see why that would look odd or bad?

Quite, and they often change the colour of the wording as well to fit with it - ie on the OS the blue tshirt has Waitrose in white.

Respected high-profile, locally based company sign deal to sponsor club and intend to offer benefit to the fans as well - as far as sponsorship deals go, this is actually pretty damn good.

No big problem with that.

Waitrose is one of the more reputable and professional of food retailers - with a decent code of business ethics compared to the likes of Tesco etc - so I can't see anything to be embarrassed about.

Yes they are, but as a result many can't afford to shop there, including me.

I guess it's just a bit odd.

Still, hopefully we'll get decent catering at the ground now...

I don't understand why you think it is odd?

Just because it's a supermarket. To be honest, I bet I thought a Korean photocopier maker was a funny choice a few years ago.

You can tell Waitrose is class because they say "8 items or fewer" not "8 items or less".

More odd than

A local radio station
A brewery
A paint company
A photocopier manufacturer
A computer company

And that's just the types of company we've been sponsored by.

I'm really pleased with this, not least because I always do my shopping at Waitrose.

Better food in the concourse and better deals for us at Waitrose would make this possibly the best sponsor in history.

Jolly good stuff.
