T.R.O.L.I.
North Eaat royal how many people have a VHS player still?

We have - primarily due to the amount of Disney films we have on video for the kids. Never seen the point in sheeling out for the same films on DVD when the VHS player works fine.

the average VHS player has a life of about 3/4 years before it starts to break. The vast majority oh High street retailers don't sell them any more meaning there will be a market for older things that people have on VCR that they want transfered to DVD

The only reason I keep my VHS player is so I can still watch my old Reading vids like Simod cup ect. Would gladly dump them if they were available on DVD.

There are shops that will convert them for you - which would be cheaper than rebuying the thing in DVD format.

Let's face it - even the Simod Cup final is hardly going to make the christmas best seller list is it.

My VCR is f8cked. It keeps playing a blue screen, but the sound is there. I'm wondering whether it's worthwhile getting it fixed or just getting a DVD-R?

Would you mind uploading some of them?

+ Can you download videos from the Reading Player?

I've copied my Royals season review DVD's onto DVD, not that hard really. Just hook the VHS up to the DVD and then press play on one and record on the other. Macrovision may be an issue but there are ways round that.

I believe this is reasonably above board as long as you don't then sell the VHS copies or sell of copies of the DVD.
