Winchester Royal
royal67 I think I paid £395 for my seat in the UW and £99 for each of the kids on the earlybird deal at the beginning of this season. Up to £425 and £125ea respectively doesn't sound like a great deal to me as it was on the verge of being unafforadable for me anyway. A bit disappointed TBH..... :( May not be able to afford to renew now.....

You could renew in one of the cheaper areas of the stadium?

Quite true, I shall have to take a look at this option I think.....

Big Foot 2013/2014 will be my first season since 2001 without a Season Ticket. Wouldn't renew if the club were paying me £375, nevermind me paying them £375.

Always good to read from fans who stick by the team through thick and thin. Was hoping for £350 as that's what I'd paid for prem football last season. Am in as I have oxf*rd all else to do on a Saturday afternoon through the winter months.

Think I'll wait to see the new kit before I decide whether to renew or not.

Will be renewing next season, but I'd like to move my seat. From what I read there's a 'movers day', does this mean I have to purchase my existing seat (in order to get this 20quid discount?) then have this one day to move my seat? Or do I just wait until after June 28th and purchase the season ticket in another seat? I don't quite get it?

Brian's left bollock
P!ssed Off Season ticket prices will remain exactly the same, most likely.
They're hardly going to charge more for us being in the Championship and as prices didn't rise when we went up I don't think they're morally obliged to put them down when we go down (therefore they won't).

I also doubt that the number of season ticket holders will decrease by as much as some people think. Obviously a few season ticket holders will disappear but some who found this season they could only get match tickets through viagogo for the non-South stands will purchase a likely purchase a ST.

Pre-Prem, I went in a group of 3 ST, with another person who came with us on match tickets for over half the games. In the Prem, this wasn't possible, so we'll most likely be upgrading to 4 STs for next year. I think quite a few people will be doing this.

I'd guess 15,500 STs for next year.

1. Season ticket prices did go up for people who renewed after we went up.
2. Why would your mate buy a season ticket when there'll be plenty of space next season.

In response to 1.
Anyone with any sense who wanted another season ticket would have renewed before we went up. Maybe some people couldn't afford to at that point, but I don't think this was the case for most of the people that snoozed and lost.

In response to 2.
He wants to got to most of the games so it'd probably be cheaper to buy a season ticket than pay match ticket prices every time, as he did pre-promotion.
Also, whilst there may be space next season, you've got to prepare for the best: if we were to win promotion next season (obviously not a definite and whatever) then the for the season after, once again he'd either have to pay a massive amount as a new season ticket holder or pay high prices per match to sit in the South Stand by himself.

375 sovs. No complaints at all from me.

£16.30 per game is very reasonable when compared to pricing of a fair few other Championship clubs. And to ease the pain, look at it as just over a quid a day for the next year !!

IN from me.

Was about to tell him this as well.
Move to East, North or Lower West and his overall cost increases by £2 from last year. If that £2 pushes you over the edge royal67 then don't worry we can meet up over the season and I'll chuck £2 your way. Be careful what you do though, royal67, if my Dad had ditched our STs when I was young because of an overall £2 increase then I'm not sure I would have been able to forgive him.

Can you imagine there's also probably people in the boxes saying "£2000 for a ST (or whatever the cost is), now I can't go".
Think about all your options before abandoning your team, people.

Better than many in fact. At the end of the day, if the fans want to see the best players stay and not sold to cover the losses, then you too have to foot the bill. Deal with it!

Those of us who did the earlybird & only paid £350 for PL football really cannot complain one iota. I'm more than happy to pay the extra £25 TBH.

True, However I think I heard that for a Bayern Munich season ticket it is something like £100. Hopefully other countries/clubs will be able to follow their example!

But we can't keep harking back to what German clubs do. You're right, football is vastly over-priced, but there's nothing we can do about it unless you're prepared to walk away from the game and watch attendances nosedive.

Renewing your adult season ticket and getting 23 games at £16 a pop is bloody good. £125 to renew my boys season ticket is bloody good.
