Southbank Old BoyRev Algenon Stickleback H Apparently Waitrose employees get 25% off a season ticket.
I've no idea if you have to have worked there for a specified amount of time, or whether you could just apply to be a part-time worker doing a minimal shift, then jack it in when you've got your reduced ticket though.
Has this been confirmed anywhere?

It's definite. Employees even get a retrospective discount on STs bought before the Waitrose deal was announced. They're also giving away 250 free tickets per match to staff.

Stranded The "free" tickets will have been paid for by Waitrose before being passed on to staff, I would hazard. That's certainly how it works where I work.
I've no problem with the 25% discount either - this would have been factored in to the price paid for the sponsorship deal and if not and it means the club sell some extra STs that they otherwise would not have sold then I don't see the problem.

I appreciate that the Waitrose money will be offsetting the cost to the club. I couldn't care less how the clubs books look as a result, it's the fact that Mr John Lewis sat next to me in the East Stand has paid 25% less for his season ticket than I have.
Irrational yes, but then so is putting up with the crap the club has dealt to me over the last 25 years!

Would that person have bought a ST if it were not for the extra discount? Possibly not, so it's an extra revenue stream. I know it might not sound 'fair' for Joe Public but the club have been doing this with organisations since day one at the Madejski, in fact promotion to the Premiership was the first time they haven't offered discounted ST's to corporate sponsors

The 17 Bus If you are pissed off with the way football is going dont go, it is not that hard, you soon find that there is more to life, and you can still follow and support RFC without going.
I do, and one day I shall be a regular again, I doubt many got a 25% discount in all reality, did we not stop selling ST's around the time Waitrose were announced as sponsors
