What would you like to see in the new kit?

Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz.

Tbf, I'd prefer to see them _out_ of the kit...

Barry the bird boggler And hoops, not holding my breath for either though.

It has hoops and no back panel, I assure you.

Archie's penalty Why are they changing the kit again? What's the pucking foint? Will people actually buy the new one in the middle of a recession?!?

Cos RFC isn't a 'football' club anymore - it's a money making machine and shamelessly wants to extort every penny from the humle fan.

New shirts every two years was quite sufficient. We're no worse than Man Utd for fleecing fans.

Disgrace.

It's quite simple really. Some people seem to want a new kit every year so the club obliges. Those who don't want a new one each year don't have to buy it.

I agree with Dirk, if your kids aren't satisfied with just owning a kit and want a new one each year and you can't say no without ruining their lives, then you're doing something wrong.

And if as an adult you can't resist buying one when you can't afford it, or feel disillusioned and upset because you don't have a new kit each year, then perhaps you need to be getting some therapy.

Do we need two threads on two different forums to basically say the same things that are said every time there's a new shirt?

(NB That is a rhetorical question, btw.)

With spin like that, you ought to be in politics! Or maybe you are Mr Salter!!

The club realises that some people will buy a new kit every year so the club takes full advantage of this, in order to make as much money as possible.

Maybe there's nothing wrong with this but please don't try to argue that the club's prime motive is altruistic!

According to a source who works in the shop, the new kit is horrible, but it does at least hoops all the way around.

I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it myself. It doesn't really make much difference as I don't ever purchase the kit as it's a total rip off and I'm told will change every year for the next 2 or 3 seasons.

Because this is the new era! I will buy one and treasure it after we get promoted in it.

Terminal Boardom If you mean fully hooped that the hoops go round the back of the shirt? Forget it. Wont happen. FL regs want the backs plain for the numbers.

Can you back up that claim?

I'd be happy to bet any amount of money you want to wager on that.....

Indeed, just another lie from RFC to it's fans a few years ago when questioned about it. Load of utter nonsense which is why Sunderland have continued with the stripes and QPR with their hoops to name 2.

I thought they'd said they were doing it so they were ready for the Premier League if we made it? Admittedly given we then had a new kit for then that wasn't exactly truthful.

Happy to be stood corrected.

The Premier League also has no such ruling.

Did i thave one a few years ago though ?

Or had clubs been advised that such a rule (or a recomendation) was being considered ?

I have no idea ! But then I'm not that fussed about whether the hoops go right round or not....

Sunderland's back of shirt has always had the full stripes,it was a load of rubbish made up as a reason as to why Reading's couldn't. It was just Reading's choice to have a panel, why they had to lie about it I dunno.

Isn't it a rule for European competition? Maybe they were expecting UEFA to extend it.
