Royal Lady
urz13 They might re-run the entire ticketing process

Shirley, they should be able to run a list of those who have applied who have the correct number of points? Anyone else is refunded, unless they haven't taken the money yet, and notification is given as to when they can legitimately apply for tickets?

That would probably be more likely actually.

Just asked the ticket office about this on the phone - their response?

This problem has happened before and the club didn't do that. It's their fault not the fans and they will leave it at that.

I'm presuming that if they sell out before General sale the issue will be addressed by the club. By doing so refunding anyone who bought tickets without the correct points when they sold out. ie if the tickets sold out on the 1000 point day anyone with <1000 points who bought a ticket illegitimately will have their ticket refunded and told to wait until the correct day but those who illegitimately bought a ticket with greater than 1000 points will keep their ticket.

If it goes to General Sale anyway, what does it matter?

Shame then that there is evidence to suggest otherwise.

Much as that is what should happen, I very much doubt the club will go to that trouble.

that sounds like the best idea....BUT how would they get tickets back? people would already have tickets in their possession...i think they will sweep it under the carpet, let it slide and stop it happening further which is why sales have been taken down to fix it presumably

Someone that I trust and has never bullshitted me in the past or has any need to, told me last night just before the game that he'd heard this was happening and got 2 tickets - he had enough points but the other person had a lot less - but he applied for their ticket anyway and got it. He'd spoken to a number of other people who had done the same. Why would people make this up?

They won't send the tickets out unless they know they had the correct number of points when applying, as I suggested earlier?

Yeah - I know - my response was so that whoever reads this board from the club can see that what they are spouting to fans is total rubbish!

I would imagine that the club would find it very difficult to withold any tickets that have already been purchased.

Although the ticket remains the property of the football club, I doubt that there will be anything in the ticket purchase T&C's to cover this type of eventuality.

Have we had this problem before? It seems familiar. It is defo the club's fault - so heads should roll wherever the ticketing software is maintained - still feel sorry for anyone who won't get a ticket due to this glitch, who otherwise would have done. If you don't read HNA I presume you'd miss out on knowing this info?

I'm treating this as Karma because the online system wouldn't let me buy a ticket to Citeh even though I had the correct points.

As others have said if the tickets go to general sale then the moaners' complaints are null and void in any case no?

So why don't we hold off until we see if that happens first?

Because if we do that then we might not be able to moan :!:
