Nameless How can you tell it will be worse ?
I'm an eternal optimist, but you can't have a clue what next season will be like before we're even out of May !!

Well there was a worsening trend through the season and signs we're losing some of our better players with little good news signings wise so far or in recent windows going back.

How can you think it will be better before we're even out of May?

Didn't have a season ticket for the last two years, but have got one for the up-coming year in an attempt to guilt myself into going to more games. Only went to 12 least season. I've gone for the north east corner this time which is where the best of the atmosphere seems to have been in the latter end of last season.

Renewing your season ticket and the performance of your team should not be connected. If you are a fan then its irrelevant. I'm the first to moan but I will always get my ticket. The performance just determines whether you are miserable or not.

I used to agree, but I think there comes a point in life when you have many competing priorities and spending ~£400 a year to lose 1/4 to 1/2 your weekend every other week to a hobby that's only going to make you miserable becomes somewhat unattractive.

I don't think people particularly mind a terrible season, but the prospect of witnessing the steady decline of their beloved club over 3-5 years can be something that can prompt you to give up for a while and spare some of the pain.

Throwing your toys because of one bad season or a return to normal service from a particular high point is of course entirely different.

I pay to be entertained. Don't overly mind if we lose (as long as it's not every week and we're at the wrong end of the table) but I do expect to see decent football played with passion and commitment.

These last couple of seasons have been tough. They're in the last chance saloon for me.

I think there's a definite expectation of winning more home games a year than not. It definitely hasn't felt that way for the past three years. I fully expected open entertaining football under Adkins where we would concede a lot, but score more (lots of 3-2s, 4-3s, etc) but that plan falls down when you don't have a decent forward line.

I have a slightly weird feeling about the forthcoming season. We can't be worse at home. I think we will win more games, but it won;t be particularly entertaining - lots of steady 1-0s

It hasn't felt that way because we've only won about 20 out 66

And I've been to about 60 of them. My point is that I used to go to games trying to predict the score, and usually predicting a win for Reading. Now we just don't bother trying to predict scores as it feels like we won't win. I do appreciate the reality is that we haven't been winning, especially since Christmas under Steve Clarke

Wish that were true for me. No matter how much I may hate certain managers, owners, players etc I don't have a choice as I am a fan, its an addiction I may not like but I have.

7,643 ST renewals were done before the deadline. Is this up or down on last season?

We were apparently down a few hundred on last year.

That figure is as accurate as the so called number of 'members' Reading have.

Don't bite m8. We know you're pretty steady with the ITK, and Kes is a shockingly poor WUM

Significant long queue by the sounds of things at the ticket office for movers day.

I chose the phone route - 45 minutes of being kicked out as "busy". Then finally connecting and having 20 minutes of Sweet Caroline.

Finally got through and spoke to an incredibly helpful and patient customer advisor. Managed to move five seats in Y24 to bring us all together with our other family members.

Got there in the end.
