Looks like the council are going ahead with this. Plans resubmitted and they have placed it on their priority list regardless of any housing development.

Will this be seen as another hammer blow to Alexander Litvinenko's credibility?

Alexander Litvinenko No. I think the whole scheme is now dead in the water.

Hence no GP station.

Definitely (another) one in the eye for Dirk Gently then.

Staggered by the £8 million build cost.

A monorail would be much more cost effective and fit for purpose.

RBC is going to find itself on the business end of a cease and desist notice if it's not careful.

I like the way they're adopting a 'build the station and the trains will come' approach according to that article
Simon Beasley at the council Clearly we don't know how it will be serviced by trains

This announcement is certainly making me think twice about using Dirk as a contractor in the future. If he's not ITK about this, what does that say of his knowledge of the Y2K bug?

Is there a chance the tracks could bend?

The way I see it they'd only need to staff it on match days (LI and Reading, so most weekends), but then they'd just use the police anyway right?

Footfall will be low enough the rest of the week that they can treat it like they do Winnersh Triangle.

No, maybe 3 or 4 - buy them in bulk, be cheaper that way, or do a BOGOF deal or something.
