Maguire
gazzer, loyal royal having to wait fifteen minutes for a pint at half time. I if i remember rightly you have 20 minutes to serve alocol after it's been poured, so start pouring after 40 minutes.

The tills must know how many pints are sold on average for a saturday and midweek game so just pour less than that amount. All so simple in theory

tbh if its one of those dark weeks when I get hit with the half-time round then i get up at about the 43rd minute and am back with the beers for when the whistle blows

Another positive is that this approach means you don't have to watch as much of Reading playing football either

I remember missing two early second half goals at EP through having to queue for an age for burgers :x

I missed tonnes of goals in the last couple of seasons. Think it was the Palace game when I said "1-1 is about right" and everyone looked at me and went "err, we're 3-1 down m8"

The bar on Saturday for the rugby was the worst I've known it - my old man and a mate went down to get the beers in 5 mins before half time. There were 10 people in the queue in front of them and they got bak to the seats 10 mins into the second half - 30mins!

The chairman's speeches about how we're seriously going for promotion, It's like a broken record every season around the time season tickets go on sale and just before we sell off players.

No gripe - group of us were having a drink from our cans when at half time when our row had cleared a steward approaches – immediately thought new rules better drink up – only for this very polite fella to produce a small stack of plastic beer glasses & then wished us a pleasant afternoon – err it was at the rugby.
