MouldyRoyal Sounds like we're missing out on CAT1 academy status unlike Saints. Expect our best up and coming talent to be nabbed on the cheap then.

EDIT: Not been inspected! I'm gonna learn not to believe everything I believe too.

Not so long ago, it was odds-on that talent such as Theo Walcott would inevitably go to somewhere like Southampton but recent developments have shown that RFC Academy is a much more attractive proposition for a young, ambitious footballer.

Hold on a tick, we still haven't produced a top English talent, so that's jumping the gun a bit.

The new John Terry would say otherwise. 8)

Friday's Legacy The Daily Mail have had an interview planned with AZ for a couple of weeks. They were trying to tie him down when he returned to the UK last week. I don't know if they've sat down yet, but I'm hoping we hear a bit more about the clubs plans/intentions etc, rather than more of what we've already heard.

FL - any news on if this has been scheduled

Interview with AZ here. talks a little about meeting the Premier League and what may have caused the delay. He also wants to become the dominant club in the south west of England.

I've added the missing comma for you and changed England to London.
I think it makes sense now for those that can't be bothered to read the full article.

I stand corrected. Just saw that he mentioned picking up support to as far as Bristol.

Good article. The worry I see is that his dad is worth a lot less than we thought, given that SJM was worth over £300m and said someone with very deep pockets, a billionaire, was need to invest to stay in the prem, to hear the family is worth only £460m doesn't really seem like enough.

That's an estimate of his wealth though. Remember Mr Chris Samuelson who just so happens to be an expert in wealth management in very confidential and private ways and has been advising the Zingarevich's for many years. No reporter will know for sure how much he is worth. Could be that, could be a hell of a lot more.

It'll be a lot more than that. If I recall correctly I remember seeing that on Forbes, but from 2007 or something. Boris has grown far wealthier since then.

He provided proof of funds in excess of £3b. However, if Jo Public or your average journo does some digging on Google etc, you can't find much with any substance about his wealth at all.
