Any change in policy, that steers us away from the predictable, turgid, and lets face it out of touch style of football we've been playing for the last 5 years is good for me. We need to develop a style & system that translates and has the structure to compete in the Premier league.

So , the club needs to change direction - its just a shame that Anton wasn't around when we appointed Rodgers.

So to answer the op, I trust TSI - and only time will tell if my trust is misplaced.

SPARTA - Taking the club forward on and off the pitch - Our profile has already grown, both for good and bad, but we're being talked about nonetheless.
- Perception from media - Mixed. We'll always be little old Reading until we establish ourselves in the top flight, or win a cup.
- Do they really have any money - Who knows. SJM didn't invest much though. Most was in loans with minimal interest owed back.
- Decision making (thus far) - 8/10. Promotion earlier than expected thanks to their investment. Sharp lessons learnt on PL investment. It's early days remember.
- Overall feeling - Very pleased. To be a yo-yo club is more than we could have dreamed over 10+ years ago. The ambition is to be more than that. Bring it on!

Hard to argue with much of that.

In my opinion, this is no longer about football but about a financial investment into a vessel calling itself a football club.

Losing on the pitch to relegation rivals and being at the bottom of the league was bad for that investment so AZ got rid of BMD. Soon, when AZ realises the football club is not a good investment he will get rid but will make sure he strips the club of its assets before he leaves (taking back what he invested with big interest rates). With a bit of luck he won't buy the surrounding ground meaning the club will not have to worry about getting fans into the ground without his consent to let them cross his land without further charge.

It is also quite possible that AZ's money is currently holed up in Cyprus and he's just about to lose a big wad of it to an EU bailout solution. So don't expect any big investments in the near future.

I trawled 3 whole pages to see if there were any grotty photos of his missus.

Never again.

It's pretty obvious you two have the same viewpoint so you aren't exactly the best judge on whether people can ''argue'' with it.

I trust he has more money than Madejski, I trust he has higher ambitions than Madejski. I trust he wants to do the best he can with the club.

His money got us promoted, his money will improve the academy, he got us Pog. He's new to it so we need to cut him some slack but he is getting advised by people like Hammond so it doesn't all rest at his door.

I would prefer they take their time looking for a manager rather than rush in to it, we're more than likely relegated already so whats the rush

HoneyRoastHoax I trust he has more money than Madejski Does he?, I trust he has higher ambitions than Madejski He certainly talks a good game. I trust he wants to do the best he can with the club.Remains to be seen.

His money got us promoted No it didn't. You can vvank into a cup but it doesn't make you a Dad., his money will improve the academy remains to be seen given his knee jerk reactions thus far long term planning doesn't appear to be high on the agenda despite the rhetoric., he got us Pog Ggggrrreeeeaaaattttt. He's new to it so we need to cut him some slack but he is getting advised by people like Hammond so it doesn't all rest at his door The decision to sack McDermott was his alone as evidenced by the club statement after the sacking. That doesn't sound like a man who's making decisions based on advice from other people..

I would prefer they take their time looking for a manager rather than rush in to it, we're more than likely relegated already so whats the rush? Again the club statement: The search for a successor will start immediately and it is hoped that a new Manager will be in place as soon as possible to lead the fight against potential relegation..

Sounds like you don't even like supporting us Sandy man.

You are implying a lot of things, If I sunk £25m+ into something I would want it to do well.

To be fair to the guy, hes having to pay for the rest of the buy out.

Hes only got so much money, I think too many people are starting to recall shit they have read on here as gospal. Ie Our new potential owner is richer than jesus.

TBF as Jesus seemed to be a man who basically bummed his way round the Holy lands cadging off his disciples it's no real indication of wealth.

I've gone for six out of ten. I think he will move us on, but for me the shambles over the timing of sacking Brian with no new manager in place is a couple of marks down.

There wasn't a new manager in place for the reasons already explained by myself and others. And nothing wrong with the timing. At present we are merely continuing to head in the direction that McDermott was taking us anyway.

Are you all so easily bought that a few soundbites are enough to secure your complete trust in the owner? So far all I have seen is a comparatively modest investment in new signings, a ludicrously timed sacking and some sort of information-sharing agreement with Galatasaray.

I think that I trust George Osborne more than I trust Anton Zingarevich.

These are MY opinions, I don't have an agenda or any reason to agree or disagree with your 'facts'.
