Readingfanman Didn't we have 18000 season ticket holders? If so , doesn't that leave 1000 people missing somewhere?

Those are for the seats that are not available for sale, but are always empty. There is one behind me.

15,500 SOLD

1,500 TO BE SOLD

2,500 AWAY FANS

that leaves over 4,000 spaces . . . .

why arent they selling 18,000 season tickets?

About 10% is matchday sales so that still leaves about 1500 seats somewhere.

Corporates are taking over
It's a bit like the cybermen episode of Dr Who where current Martha actress died. They look like us, but are slowly taking over - check for ear-pieces in the person next to you next season.

simple economics

NPV of match-day tickets for sold-out seats
>
season ticket price.

Therefore sell less s-ts, sell more match day tickets = club generates more revenue = the contracts Shorey and Lita want.
