Twenty years on from the fabled “Madchester” Era and following a successfully rammed first visit to Blackpool’s The Syndicate in October, FAC 51 The Hacienda Tour comes back to the club and party hearty seaside town this coming Easter Sunday for “The Reunion – Part Two”
An event which features a line up that brings DJ sets together from members of three of the greatest Mancunian acts ever, The Happy Mondays, New Order and 808 State, along with original Hacienda acid house resident, Jon Dasilva and an extra special PA by Shaun Ryder.
At the top of Blackpool’s bill is a rare live PA from Happy Mondays’ Shaun Ryder who also has long standing cohort Bez in attendance, turning in one of his unique DJ sets With a set of classic tunes from the Mondays and Black Grape days at his disposal, Shaun’s live PA’s bring out the strongest of their most famous tunes in a crowd pleasing set of The Mondays’ biggest hits whilst Bez is known for his indie sensibilities and live MC’ing during his Dj sets.
To compliment the PA from Shaun New Order’s Peter Hook, himself now back at the helm of all affairs FAC 51 as the head honcho of The Haçienda Tour heads up the rest of the DJ bill with a set that draws on his electro, techno, and indie influences with the odd, especially rare New Order remix or bootleg thrown in to boot.
Mancunian techno pioneers, 808 State also appear with a DJ set that will remain true to their roots with both modern and back in the day classics. 808 have become increasingly lauded over the years for their seminal influence on the development of British Techno, their sets draw on their own material, and the tunes that inspired them then and inspire them now.
Rounding off the extensive line up, original Hacienda resident and mainstay of the legendary “Hot” night, Jon Dasilva, also brings his superb deck skills over to the coast to close off what is an immeasurably strong, not to be missed, FAC 51 event.
As the Manchester nightclub that reshaped club culture throughout the world, FAC 51 The Haçienda today exports its inimitable brand of musical hedonism and excess as The Hacienda Tour with gigs across all four corners of the globe which move forward the inimitable legacy and reputation of FAC 51 and brings it right up to date for 21st Century clubbers.
FAC 51 The Haçienda’s unconventional attitude and lofty position in music history means that the creative energy and dynamism on which The Haçienda was based has never fallen away. The Hacienda Tour recreates this as a contemporary Haçienda experience featuring immaculate Haç décor and superbly individualistic lighting, all in an authentic FAC 51 style and designed by the original FAC 51 team.
The Haçienda Tour 2009 is supported by fashion label Bench. Having been named the coolest street-wear brand by the 2007 Cool Brands panel, Bench has consistently been a devoted and much appreciated sponsor of high profile music events and artists.
Bench’s spring summer 09 collection sees the edgy, urban lifestyle designs combine with its Mancunian industrial fashion slants, and a day to night energy that the vibrant city provides. The collection contains musical references featuring designs of old-school ghetto blasters, headphones and cassette tapes, as well as hazy smoke prints and flowing light trails, all of which can be viewed on Bench’s new website at http://www.bench.co.uk

The 17 Bus this could be the first time in 3 seasons that we have played a league fixture in front of less than 10k

Just perhaps the club could run cheap coaches, if we took 5k we can hold onto our run, if not Coppell out I am afraid.

Could the club request for that to happen as i thought we couldn't take anymore than 2,000?
Many people are keen on making this match and spending the weekend in Blackpool, i just hope i'll get tickets!

The current capacity of the three sided Bloomfield Road is only 9731. Away fans are housed in a temporary stand which holds a maximum of 1750 although under Football League rules only 10% of total capacity has be allocated to away fans.

Harry Carry I remember going to Blackpool first game of the season when Reading got promoted from league 1. Guess none of you remember that.
