BenReadingFC
NWL Royal Northwood, now there's a nice place...

Nice Bunker

Living nearby, at least I have the consolation of knowing that if WW3 does break out, I won't feel a thing! - Vaporised in a millisecond!!

LUX Potter Street Hill, midway between Northwood and Northwood Hills underground

Teachers' pub: The Gate.

I think you'll find it is on The Rickmansworth Road more or less on the junction with Ducks Hill Road.

Nice pub. Many years ago before the licensing laws changed there used to be a scramble between this pub in Middlesex and the next one up the hill in Hertfordshire which had a half hour difference in closing time. Must be an age thing but I do not remember which way round it was!

am waiting for suggestions from my army of HNA fans.

You? There is a recommended pub near Queens Park station, handy for trains to Watford High Street.

But I'm easy.

ps papereyes is in America, and won't even fly back to meat up

Last time I went to the Oddfellows on Fearnley Street, quite close to the ground and was packed with Royals, but it's a bit small, tatty although they did have some sort of barbeque in the "garden" (i.e outside). Or there's the town centre with Wetherspoons or Walkabout.

I'll probably do the Oddfellows again, but avoid the barbeque.

No, there isn't a park and ride near the ground as there are many town centre car parks - all within walking distance of Vicarage Road as well as two mainline stations + one underground station.

They each take a stack and sell them at each window, the row you get depends which pile they happen to take it from.

IIRC at watford they are very irritating in the away end and have the letters the other way round. For example, row BB is at, or near, the bottom.
