F**k me 5 years flew by didn't they?!

If coughing up in-excess of £10m to bring the players in that we have already, plus the ones that will come in next month isn't enough. The fact is we have some unappreciative, over-expectant, ignorant fans that will never be happy with what they get.

10mil was obviously not enough, hence why we are where we are. and unappreciative??????? no one asked him to buy the club, he wanted to, so atleast live up to what you promise

1. Do we know that Anton coughed up for the those players - or did the club. If the latter, have we committed ourselves to more expenditure than income, and if so, will Anton underwrite.

2. Promise 1 was probably "Sir John, I will pay you £25m". Has he paid over the money yet?

it may also be beneficial to you if you was to look and notice there is no topic in the first team page, have to go all the way through to page 5
are you the siege mate?
We are told he said buy Roberts; he may well have sanctioned the other buys - but the point is whether it was from money he has pumped in, or from the club's resources. I understand that it is in fact the latter

As has been correctly discussed numerous times and i numerous ways - we were promoted ahead of time. There was a possible transfer kitty that was pre-agreed which was at the time seemingly spent wisely. The club will not overspend speculatively and it was a chance for those players who took us up to prove themselves in the Premier League. Again a speculative punt which has not through various means - proved the smoother transition we as supporters and as a club had hoped for. Brian has made his mistakes and is gradually learning from them. Anton also stated that should we remain in the Premier League then it is sound business to extend the ground in the future. Again as a business model this would prove a fruitless exercise when/if we are relegated. What more do most of the supporters want - now,now now or patience and prudence which will not grind this club into the ground. Massive investment in the squad might show strong aspirations to stay up in this league but will even that be enough. It's always amazing to most that some of the support want to pcunt everyone off when things are not right. Players as individuals are coming into some right personal stick (polite version) on this site from armchair experts who seem to have done fcuk all on a football pitch. Ditto for BM and now to clasp at the shitty end of the stick - Anton.

"The club will not overspend speculatively " we have not spent nothing compared to other clubs, we stood to make at least 75mil after promotion and spent 5mil, lets say 10 mil if we add all the signing on fees. so where is the other 65mil gone?

Has he done anything? Absolutely. I am not sure we would be in the Premiership without the additional funds he gave us in January. Kebe also signed a new contract around that time because of the investment. And as for the cr@p spouted on here about money not forthcoming, we spent £5m directly on players in addition to gaining three free players worth a significant amount of money we had to spend a load of money on their sign-on fees. Madejski was hit hard by the financial crisis and he was never going to invest to the content that Anton has/will do. I just don't understand how people could say we haven't benefited.

We got promoted, he no longer needed to guarantee it.

It's not until the end of the season that he would actually have had to produce the money.

royalexile As has been correctly discussed numerous times and i numerous ways - we were promoted ahead of time.

Oh dearie me, here we goes again...

"...we are a failure!"

"No WAIT!"

"...we were simply promoted ahead of time!!!"

I mean pleasse, get off the party bus and get real. No club says they don't want to be promoted.

What happens at the AGM, they strive failure and say we're not going to try to be successful ?

Surely if we didn't want to be promoted, we would have err, put out a formation that could not work against some of those stronger teams and lossst - but no, the Championship Team pushed and pushed and got it.

It's time that certain aspects of this board stopped making excuses for our failures of this season by saying we peaked too early...

Do You See?

He still hasnt produced the money he owes SJM. Lets hope he produces the money he has authorised the club to spend in the event that there is a black hole.

In-excess of... Not enough but sensible all the same, and ambitious for a newly promoted club and then we'll spend more this window; but hey, feel free to continue to be a muppet about it.

did anyone else not notice how long it took for the FA to allow the takeover? for the simple fact that anton could not prove his finances, there is no doubting he is a wealthy man, who is cleaver ( TSI is registered in Gibraltar or somewhere like that to avoid the massive taxes in this country),. but there is just something in the back of my mind that makes me think he is not what he made us believe

was southampton not a newly promoted club who spent 3 times what we did, hence why there are above us in the league. the prenier league is a money business, you have to spend to stay in it, simple

He's the son of a Russian billionaire who is spending his dads (and other investors) money on a football club, and never claimed to be anything else.
