What do you think of the new kit, and most notably, no traditional white shorts and socks again?

V is for victory... granted, but this V is for VULGAR! What the hell were the designers thinking? Wonder if you can buy add on capes?

Not sure about the kit. The "bib" at the front is much better than the dreadful use of it on the training kit but I can't help think it opens us to ridicule of wearing a bib or being some soort of 70's throwback.

Any pictures/news of the away strip yet?

It's not as horrendous as the training kit but I really am not sure about that design on the home kit.

If they were going to do that it would have looked much better to do something more along the lines of the Chronicle sponsored shirts of the early 80s

Perhaps they opt for the most cr*p designs that are offered so they can say to fans they'll do them a favour and change it again next season.

Personally I cannot see why they don't write to ST holders with two or three design options and ask them to pick their preferred option, at least then we could blame ourselves for the hideous choice.

For the record has anyone received their ST "package" yet. Personally I won't be surprised if no-one gets it in time for today's kit launch.

Are any other English league clubs using the same Puma template?

What the fluff is the V thing all about? Have we gone all Rugby League? Worst Home Kit since the HAT Painting TV interference days. £35 saved (unless I fancy a short sleeved goalkeepers shirt...)

I was expecting some kind of statement from the club similar to last year with the explanation of the gold piping supposedly being for 10 years at the Mad Stad etc, but there doesn't seem to be one at the moment. It'll be interestingly to see what they call the cape and why they say its there.

My guess: "striking star design" - which would be completely wrong but sounds like marketing propaganda.
Edit: Actually no, its isn't enough like a star for them to try that....."striking 'v' design"

Although I like our new home shirt it annoys me how RFC just pick a template from Puma's collection and chuck the hoops on it!

We should design our own shirt not have a shirt that a sunday league team could buy if they wanted!

Its a winner from me and will be leaving shortly to make a family purchase. Agree though that the socks are hideous.

It's nice to be honest. I thought they were bringing out a new away kit as well?

I don't get what the whole hatred of the "V" thing is for.
It adds something new to an otherwise bland shirt.

Makes the players look like they are wearing 'hoodies', maybe their is a Velcro strip at the back. Might be ideal for the walk home.

Worst kit for a while, maybe i would had liked if the top was a half circle instead of a point.

Left hand not being familiar with the right springs to mind! (not).

With the front looking like that cue:

'You're just a bunch of sailors!'
