Hendo Quick mock-up someone did on Twitter. Looks good.

At last......a classy looking sponsors logo. Well please with that. After that awful Carabao and Casumo logos this is welcome.

What was wrong with the Casumo logo? It was literally just a word.

Driving around a flashy motor you couldn't/wouldn't otherwise buy doesn't speak "class" to me but each to their own on that one.

Isn't this a bit of an outdated view of leasing? If you want a new car its the most sensible way to do it.

Snowflake Royal
Hendo Select Car Leasing will be the new shirt sponsor. Happy to move away from a gambling company.

https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2021/june/-select-car-leasing-become-new-principal-partner-of-reading-football-club/

We are delighted to announce Select Car Leasing as the Principal Partner of Reading Football Club, in what represents a record commercial deal for the Royals.

The UK’s leading independent car and van leasing specialists have pledged their support to their local club by committing to a new three-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal which will begin with our 150th anniversary campaign in 2021-22!

A key element in the club’s ongoing commercial strategy and a fundamental objective set out in our plans to celebrate 150 years of Reading Football Club has been to strengthen the bond between our club and businesses based in the local area, building relationships with local enterprise and Berkshire-based industry leaders.

So, having grown locally since their inception in 2004 and now employing more than 250 people at their head office in the Green Park complex as well as across offices spread throughout the UK, Select Car Leasing are quite simply the perfect fit.

As part of this new long-term partnership, Select Car Leasing will see their branding emblazoned on the front of our first team and Academy shirts for the next three campaigns, featuring on all replica adult and junior kit as well as the club’s official training wear until 2024.

Supporters can also expect to see Select Car Leasing branding feature on our social media channels, run along the LED boards surrounding the perimeter of the pitch and promoted across our stadium when fans return to cheer on their team this season.

Having partnered with the club since 2015, Select will also demonstrate their renewed commitment to their local side by donating match tickets to local grassroots clubs for every single home match throughout the next three seasons and have also agreed to give money back to the club’s Academy programme when any Royals fan leases a car from the company.

Directors of Select Car Leasing, James O’Malley and Mark Tongue, are both lifelong supporters and current Season Ticket Holders at the club. “As a local company we’ve been in partnership with Reading Football Club for nearly six years now but, as fans ourselves, it’s long been an ambition and a dream of ours to have much greater involvement with the club as well as supporting the local community,” Tongue said.

“So we’re absolutely delighted to announce this new chapter in our relationship with Reading ahead of its 150th anniversary season and consider it a commitment not only to our club but also to the town of Reading and its people.”

Reading FC Chief Executive, Dayong Pang, said: “We are very proud to be announcing this record partnership with Select Car Leasing, as we prepare to embark on our 150th anniversary campaign. Their commitment to the club has been evident for some time and we are delighted to secure such an attractive and reputable commercial partner during what remains a very challenging time for so many businesses. I am pleased that Select will be part of the Reading Football Club family for many years to come.

Head of Commercial at Reading Football Club, Tim Kilpatrick said: “Select Car Leasing have been superb supporters of Reading Football Club for many years and we are thrilled to begin a new principal partnership with a local, industry-leading business of Select’s fine reputation.”

We would also like to express our gratitude to Casumo for their fantastic support as our Principal Partner for the past two seasons. We look forward to a continued collaboration and will announce more about a new relationship with Casumo in due course.

Hard to find any fault with that.

I've yet to be offered a free car but otherwise yeah, it seems a decent deal

Someone I know works for Select Car Leasing. When Covid hit they immediately put the vast majority of their staff (30+ people) on government paid furlough and continued with a skeleton crew, meaning she was was made to do the work of 12 people.

Nice to see they now have the money to sponsor Reading just over a year later.

If you need a lease car https://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/ are almost always much much cheaper.

Bit harsh. It's not like people would have been queueing up to lease a car during lockdown. They would have took a huge hit.

They’ve actually done fantastically out of it. Less cars, but no staff to pay but the benefit of still owning a company built up by those former staff members. Hence why they know find themselves able to sponsor Reading.

Rangers 150th Anniversary Kit

Would be great if the club organised a friendly between the clubs really. Always been surprised there’s not more of an affiliation between us.

I'd be incredibly wary of having any sort of affiliation with either of the Old Firm.

Why? It’s not like we’ll cross paths with many teams that would hate us for it.

It’s the 2020’s m8.

Why would there be any association based purely on the year founded. We've got nothing else in common.
