Wouldn't be at all surprised. But my complaints were emailed in so they've just pressed the delete button!

Oh well, at least I did something about my gripes - the ambulance, the guy who dispenses the lager choosing to stand in the entrance of the ladies loos - blah blah. If they choose to ignore me, that's up to them, but I don't just moan on here.

They've probably got one of those auto-filter things set up so that whenever Outlook sees your email, it just sends it straight to the rubbish bin. Either that or you set off the spam filter...

Oooh perhaps they read my post on here because here is what I have just received:

Dear Lindie,

Thank you for your email and for taking the time to contact us with your observations.

I am very disappointed with the actions of our stewards not applying common sense when it comes to searching supporters, and I can only apologise for their actions. I will ensure that I send your email on to our Safety Officer so he can be made aware of your concerns and take actions to prevent this from happening again in the future.

Your feedback will also be passed on regarding the positioning of our stewards, mobile hawkers and Ambulance.

I have also passed your email on to our catering manager so she can come back to you directly regarding your feedback.

Once again, we would like to thank you for taking the time to write to us with your observations. Supporter’s comments are paramount to Reading Football Club in order for us to focus our attention where supporters feel it may be required.

Kind Regards

Paul Collins

Stadium & Customer Service Supervisor

Perhaps they read the E-Mail. Well done on actually taking the time to tell them your views.

Can you now get balloons and torn up paper back.

H&S my arse, those pies are as dangerous, only time I ever slipped was on an old chip.

I also saw someone with a bottle of coke with the lid on on Saturday. Either they managed to smuggle it in, or someone behind the kiosks doesn't know you have to remove the lid. I bought a little bottle of water and the bloke fair apologised for having to remove the lid, bless him.

One of my favourite footballing moments ever was at a game, possibly Darlington in the League cup, when my mate dropped the contents of a pie down his front and burnt his hands really badly. It was HILARIOUS. He got a pie at the Stoke game on Saturday but was too scared to eat in front of us in case the same happened again, so he hid round a corner.

I love those pies.

Not so much "complaints" as observations as to what could be done better

Please tell me you didnt grass about lids not being removed

I hate having the lid taken as I end up drinking my drink before half time even gets there, and going for a p*ss before the game is a pain
Stupid f*cking rule. As if some idiots think you can't throw a bottle very far without the lid  . Seeing the distance pint glasses of p*ss go at Reading festival tells you thats bollox

// sadly enough, I generally have a spare lid in my pocket when I go to games, so I can put the lid on after entering the stadium

Is to do with being a tripping hazard. With lid rolls, no lid can trip pple up.

Tbh, tbf to the OP, I've been moaning about the ambulance there for what seems like years now - I cannot believe the ground safety officer, risk assessor, whatever either looked at it beforehand and thought it was a good thing parking it directly in front of an exit used by thousands of people all at the same time or that no-one since has looked at it at the end of every match and thought "ooh, I dunno, that's a bit of a bottleneck with that sitting there".

Either way, it's just plain dumb.
