Surely the East Stand should be re-named the Liam Rosenior Stand?

After all, one is full of self importance and has a view of their value, worth and capability that is massively out of proportion with reality; the other plays for Hull.

Seal Market value will be £3-4m per year, as per my mail above D2D...

And that is why we have to do it! That amount of money a year just for a name that we don't have to use if we don't want to. That's one top signing a summer or two or three on decent wages.

Realisitcally it sounds like the uplift for throwing in the stadium naming rights is actually more like £1-1.5m though (the figure above is for both shirts and stadium).

That's still a decent amount of money of course, but in the context of Premier League turnovers, and the new TSI money, I'm still not convinced it's worth it for losing the name of the stadium to any corporation willing to stump up enough money.

Blue Camp, or for when we get in to Europe and need a continental feel, Camp Blue.

(or just leave it as the Mad Stad)

Do Newcastle fans call their ground the Sports Direct Arena? - No, It's St James Park and always will be regardless of what the programme says or what it's referred to in the media or tv.

The Madejski Stadium will always be known as The Madejski Stadium or The Mad Stad, So what if we put some sponsor signs up and receive a big wad of cash.

SJP has a lot more tradition and history than the Mad Stad.

I don't know, I might be able to bring myself to refer to The Anton Arena if things work out well!

There you go Anton, I've suggested it, now all you have to do is reluctantly agree.

Frankly, no one would be willing to pay the kind of money I would want dumped in our lap to end up with "The Emirates" or "Waitrose" Arena, especially when, in my view, the current name couldn't be more appropriate.

Nothing says more about RFC today and how we got to this point than our Stadium and the person whose name it bears. Without either we would, at best, be where SJM found us.

I would feel nothing but shame if the name was ever changed.

I understand the name probably will change, but I don't know what it is likely to change to.
I think there are a number of interested parties since promotion was secured.
Personally, although I thought Madejski Stadium was a very poor choice of name, SJM deserves being remembered for time in memorium for what he has done for the club.
Equally naming rights are so plastic.

Cash is however King. I just hope it isn't an online gambling company.

Any chance we could ever do anything about the anodyne N, E, S and W stands?

Friday (East), Evans (West), Hicks (North) and Blackman (South) - although I'd love a stand to be called the Death Stand (especially the away end) 8)

don't really think it matters what you name it after over 15 years of it being called the Madejski Stadium people are still going to continue to call it that.

Surely Y26 has to be the Death Stand? Or even the 'we'll run and we know we will' stand.
