I think it ebbs and flows really.

For example I enjoyed our rivalry with Sheff Utd when Colin was there and also when we were competing with Wigan 10-15 years back - although that was based on the fact that at the time we were very similar clubs. But then times change and we moved onto West Ham etc

In the last few years I've been developing a healthy resentment of Fulham and their fans. Twats the lot of them.

Agree with many here that it varies.

Key factors -

LENGTH OF TIME - this has to be Swindon Town - rivalry going since the 1890s

MUTUAL FEELINGS - this is where we struggle to have a real rival because we lost out when Swindon and Oxford were in Div 2 in late 60s / early 70s and we weren't. We were shocked at having to play the Shots again then but we never felt they were our equals and we've left them behind years ago. We haven't got a natural pairing in the Watford-Luton way.

TOPICALITY - if we're fighting for the same thing / players at the same time - hence West Ham, Wolves, Sheff Utd, Brighton, QPR over the years

For me, relatively old git, it will always be about being local top dog - therefore Swindon (with a bit of respect) and Oxford (with none).

Yep it'll always be the Didcot Triangle for this former supporter too.
