How do the club prove someone is 18-24 /65 and over etc?

I believe there are lights above the turnstiles flash a different colour and a steward inside does a random check based on those colours.

If you are caught I believe you are invited to go to the TO and purchase a full price matchday ticket and potentially your ST is cancelled.

How would that work though?

You scan your ticket. Steward goes "sorry mate you don't look 65 or over. Do you have proof of age?" Fan "Umm no..sorry I don't." At which point I guess they eject you but if you are genuinely over 65 and can later prove it, surely you should be compensated?
Or are there T&C's stating that every fan must be carrying proof of age? I for one quite often come without identification.

5.3 Concessions may be offered on Ticket pricing for senior Citizens, Junior and disabled supporters. At the Clubs discretion you may be asked to provide proof of your concessionary status. Senior citizen prices are valid for anybody 65 and over, and junior prices for anybody aged 24 and under as at 1st August for full Season Tickets and Ticket purchases in the first half of the season (where August is the 1st month of the season). Concession prices for Half Season Ticket purchases in the second half of the season has yet to be decided.

5.8 The Club reserves the right to alter these price age bands and will use reasonable endeavours to provide notice to Members in the match day programme or through the Website or by email relating the changes to the system by which match tickets are sold. Anybody found to be using concession ticket unjustly to gain entry to a Match will be liable to denied entry or ejection & suspended from future Matches. No refund will be given.

New system as well for buying club shirts etc. Considering the hames the current crowd made of the Comic Relief shirts, I'm glad the contract is moving on!

They fcuked it up when they updated the system this year, momentarily at least.

You’ll get away with a kids ticket for the most part, and when caught you can blag it by saying you’ve brought your sons by mistake, but you’re only hurting the football club in doing so, and at a time when they need our investment the most. So don’t be a tight arse and buy the season ticket that reflects your age.

Yes, we can criticise the owners / management for much in the last 15 years, but we ticket pricing is not one of those areas.

Without doubt. I looked at various lower division ST prices last year. They were all more expensive than mine including clubs like Cheltenham Town. I hope we get a good take up in the summer as gates are on a downward spiral.

I know we haven't won many home games regularly for years, but the value is crazy for the level.

You get your own seat though - south stand is unreserved. Also, you will have to stand in the south, unless you sit right at the front, as it is more than likely the people in front of you will be standing. I think they're pricing it as if it was a proper standing section.

Note for a family, Eamonn Dolan is cheaper, because you can't get the 12 and under tickets for South Stand

(In the family area of ED, one adult plus one child U12 will cost £328. In South, you'll have to pay the U18 price - so it will cost £388)

The ED remains cheaper in the family area than the South Stand for 17’s and under.

Yep my costs are £364 for me and my 16 year old in the ED. It would cost me £388 in the South Stand. Even if it was cheaper I wouldn’t move. Happy where I am.

Similarly, anyone who moves to the ED for cheaper prices absolutely cannot moan about clappers. Each stand has its own "character" - and you need to buy into that character if you move there.
