I get a text yesterday, I was really pleased with the club actually reminding me to come and give them money.

Looks like I might be able to get ST back I gave up 3 seasons ago.

Biggest mistake EVER.

giving it up or getting it back?

There was a report in the Mirror today about people being priced out of the game, and we were apparently second top in premier league clubs (if only) for the number of dissatisfield customers refusing to renew. The survey said 22% wouldn't be renewing. If that's true then I think the club would be very pleased.

I will be renewing (when I get the mythical information pack - anybody seen one of these yet?) but would have maybe not renewed if we'd stayed up. I think if we had survived then prices would have increased quite substantially as they sought to rectify the alleged mistake of not spending big last season.

As it is the £100+ drop in cost is very welcome and so I expect that in terms of numbers of renewals, maybe we will actually see more than we would have done had we equalized against Spurs / Fulham not got that goal etc. etc.

22 % of our fans aren't according to one paper today, making us 2nd in 'fickleness', as it were, to West Ham (25%)

Derby on 3 %, loads of clubs at about 10-20 %.

A complete load of media bollocks, of course - and lazy journalism at its worst! All they've done is phoned up the ticket offices and asked "how many people have not renewed so far?"

As most other clubs have had their STs on sale for months - and many have now passed the renewal deadline date - no wonder there's such figures. Derby for instance have been on sale since Feb and had to be renewed by the end of the season!

I think that 78% definitely have renewed already is a much more impressive figure - far higher than I'd expect!

The figures were based on a survey carried out by the Football Fans Census apparently according to the report I saw. I received an email and replied to it myself.

Doesn't stop it being a poor story of course.

No, I'm not renewing.

My first season ticketless season since 1992. It's just too expensive.

If the club can't be bothered to invest money, neither can I.

I think it's admirable the way some people are happy to let the club, rather than themselves, earn interest on their money by renewing earlier than they have to.

My money will be staying in my account and working for me until the very last moment! Even then, I shall let good old M&S give it to the club before I finally have to settle up a month later, at which point I shall get some money off my shopping in return!
