Southbank Old BoyIan Royal I don't see the problem.
I have 4 shirts from the last 15 years. My sister's son is a supporter and has been for about 4 maybe 5 seasons. He's had at most 2 shirts. I got him his first one, the reason he got the second was because i got the first one signed so he refused to wear it incase washing it washed out the signitures.
As Dirk said, kids constantly wanting the new thing is a parenting problem and nothing to do with the club.
Personally I'd like us to keep the same shirt for years, but that's only because with the constant changing we keep getting crap ones. Although if you keep the same ones for years it's quite possible you end up lumbered with a shit one for ages.
So if the club suddenly decide to put ticket prices up by 100% you wont think its a problem?
I cant say the move surprises me, but they made a commitment to keep kit changes to at least every two years and they know that in changing the kit again they will get a load of suckers to cough up more money to fill the coffers
If fans werent so stupid they wouldnt sell the shirts. Plenty are though so the club know they can prey on the weak willed and the stupid
Is it wrong? Maybe not but I dont think its an ethical or moral thing to do to a set of fans that have been short changed over the last 18 months or so
What's a ticket price increase of 100% got to with it?
Watching / supporting your team does not have to involve buying a new shirt every season. Buying a ticket for each game you go to is usually considered pretty essential.
