RoyalBlueTurns8 But the club will look at it as only a couple of people disappointed in not getting a ticket...rather than being left with over 1000 tickets they couldn't shift...
If demand was so great! how come there are still 1000 tickets left...
:
Is that really that difficult to understand?? Do you work for the club or am I missing the sarcasm, in which case feel free to whoosh me!
The reason they are still left if that the overwhelming majority of disappointed fans will fall in the next 600-1599 points band. Not only that but as some on here have already pointed out, they do have 1600 points but are holding off until tomorrow so they can try to buy tickets with their friends and family who are in the next band.
Finally, if they felt there was a risk associated with the cost of any unsold tickets, then that was what they should have put their money behind. Tickets for the masses of loyal fans, not coach travel for a relative few (albeit the most loyal).
That could still have been spun as a real positive action by the club.
e.g.
We wanted to reward as many of loyal fans as possible by ensuring they had the maximum possible opportunity of buying tickets for this game. We therefore have committed to selling 5,000 (or more) tickets to our own supporters. If these fail to sell, RFC will have to cover the full cost of the shortfall. However, we are prepared to cover that cost if needs be in order to ensure that as many tickets are for sale to our supporters as possible.

Boyle the RoyalTurns8That Friday Feeling Because you need to be (a) interested in going and (b) in possession of 1600 Royalty points to buy today.
Midnight. Fastest finger wins...
So everyone! with under 1600 Royalty points wants to go to the match? Oh rly....
Yes, I'd say the majority of people with between 600 and 1599 points want to go the match.

Because I'm going with a few other people and we were planning on buying all our tickets tomorrow. If the club didn't royally oxf*rd up then all would have been fine.

It's official - a complete and utter cock up by the morons at RFC.
I suspect the news editors at BBCRB and the EP are reviewing the story now!
