Deadlock
Behindu No
2 phases.
Go to 30k by extending the East.
Then go to 38k by doing the N &S

I think 38k is a light year away whereas the sums indicate 30k is probably an ideal size for us.

No.

According to the RBC Committee Report:-

First stage is adding 6,600 seats to the East Stand, taking capacity to about 30,800 (see page 239). The second stage will expand the N & S, taking the total to 36,900 (see page 235).

Your friendly neighbourhood pedant.

Yeah that certainly cuts all the gas about how many and when, thanks for that!

Now that intellectual heavyweight Spacey has joined the fray this thread could start to spring into life.

Can I have the pleasure of closing this thread as Schards has retired to lick his wounds?

The argument was won long ago, all it needs is Woodcote's toys to be returned to their pram and it be allowed to die.

Said it before and will say it again - 30,000 is the way forward i.e east stand only.

South Stand open up to all of the away fans - barring probably 4 games that end will sell out - that gives you your 24,000 per game - plus your casual Reading fans or those who cant afford a season ticket to push it up to 30,000.

Job done - end of thread!!

No

Or, rather, yes. According to the official site yesterday, the Liverpool game is now sold out. It's easy to miss though, as it's just one line right at the end of the article on this page.

Tickets were still available on Tuesday, rather less than three weeks before the game.

Remarkably, tickets still seem to be available for the Middlesborough game despite the kids for a quid offer.

Unless you're accusing the ticket office of lying, I'm guessing you would accept that tickets are sold out as of today, which is 17 days before the match concerned.

Do we need to put our whole league programme on sale the day that fixtures are announced in June and sell out by the following lunchtime before one infantile East stander and his school boy comprehension of "demand" deems it's time to expand the stadium :?

Back in the real world (where people sometimes admit that they got it seriously wrong) we are losing many thousands of pounds on this fixture because...................wait for it.....................we have no more seats left to sell with more than 2 weeks to go

But hey, demand IS falling, folks.................apparently

17 days is not 3 weeks which was the quoted timeframe, so on this occasion Schards is correct. He has not stated that it wasn't sold out.

As previously demonstrated, you are not intelligent enough to understand the arguments regarding demand.
