Big FootLoyalRoyal22 I have 1591 points Best not lose out tonight to some plastic who has 601
Why? The system is there to be fair
Should've gone to Brighton away on a Monday night or Derby away when it took 4 hours and the whole country went into meltdown from snow

This country has a rather unreliable postal system, imagine the uproar if the club extended the brackets so that tickets were being bought on Thursday/Friday and fans didn't receive their tickets in time.RoyalBlueBig FootLoyalRoyal22 I have 1591 points Best not lose out tonight to some plastic who has 601

Why, because the application of the system in this instance is completely unfair!
The bands should have been much narrower than that and there is no reason they couldn't have been had those responsible concentrated on getting the tickets on sale at the end of last week rather than worrying about coaches.
There is an incredible amount of difference in season tickets purchased/games attended between someone with 1591 points and 601.
Nothing could have been done about the small number of tickets available for the Stevenage game but at least the application of the system and bands was reasonably fair.

Scrappy Also, whilst we're at it. The only ticketing system is poorly written as the error handling offers no help to the user!
When selecting someone without enough Royalty points, you get a nice message saying: "An undefined error has occured. (L)". Very useful and should not have been passed through. Half arsed job.

URZZZZZZZZ I have a query for people who have bought tickets aleady.
When you got your ticket and the subsequent coach travel, did the TO allocate you a specific coach or did you get the impression that its all unreserved?

The club are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Svlad Cjelli Although I'm not sure it is such a major ticketing cock-up as it's being painted, I'll agree that the club have got it horribly wrong in two key ways :
- the free travel offer can only be redeemed via the sales centre at the time of booking tickets, so they have a cheap way and efficient way of selling tickets which they are actually disincentivising people from using, making them use the slowest and most expensive method,
- they aren't, as far as I can tell, telling people the regulations about no alcohol on coaches going to/from football matches (*) and they have little experience of running coaches. I can see all sorts of grief and problems when people turn up on Sunday with their cans for the journey or buy more at the motorway services. Let's hope they have coach stewards with strong personalities who know what they are doing - but as of this afternoon they were still looking for coach stewards.

URZZZZZZZZ On the subject of Royalty Points, would it be worth scrapping points that were accrued over 5 years ago?

+1 - Completely agree that a rolling system ought to be introduced say 4/5 yrs. Its the fairest way to do it. Have got 3 tickets already but will try to buy another tonight for someone that has 1578 - how annoying!
Do people think it will be likely we are ushered to our correct seat numbers or could I sneakily squeeze a friend in next to me? Debating what to do...

Super RoyalsThat Friday Feelingsusieroyal I don't think we should judge all Reading fans by us on here!
The club have created more of a panic for tickets by taking ages to put them on sale (and obviously the coaches), but I will be suprised if we sell out before they go on general sale.
900 odd tickets left on day one
So the figures i have heard for tickets sold now is 600,1500,1900,2000,2700, any more guesses?
