If there are a couple of thousand on general sale is that bad ? If it had been +1 for STH then it wouldn't mean 2000 STH would have taken a mate, it would possibly have meant several thousand STH would have missed out.
The decision to do it this way is reasonable, although not ideal for me personally. If we are 10,000 short of selling out after memebers have had their turn then questions might be asked, but I can't see that happening. Today should see big sales with the vast majority of tickets going by Sunday evening.

13,700 tickets sold so far... (this hopefully doesn't take into account the blocks the club have held back for the owners..)

I think a fair amount of people may have waited so that they can get tickets with their friends with less points

Personally I'm quite happy as it means I have a better chance of getting tickets once Monday arrives

If we have sold around 21-22,000 by the end of today then I think we can safely say it will sell out. If we are under 20,000 by the end of today, I'd be surprised by that. However in that situation, I'd agree that the club got it wrong. I fully expect it not to go to General Sale......or if it does, it'll the extra 1,000 or so they are holding back.

When you refer to general sale are you talking about people without a membership card or no loyalty point history?

Or are you talking about people with a low loyalty point count?

I think today and tomorrow will be the biggest days for sales. I know alot of people that i've spoken to have been waiting until either today or tomorrow.

Although I do think that the club have over-estimated the demand. They could have done a STH +1 with the +1 having to have at least 100 points or something like that.

The +1 having to have 500+ points would have been better. 100 points is 10 games which any Arsenal fan could have been to with a mate

Thats exactly what i said - well not 100pts but the +1 has to at least be a member with a seasons support under their belt (ie 250pts)
