Leicester (H) - SOUTH STAND OPEN

by LoyalRoyalFan » 08 Mar 2012 16:04

Ticket sales have reached 21,500.

The South Stand will be open on Saturday for Reading fans. Sounds like the good old days.

Good news. I'm a bit surprised in the poor demand for tickets fro Leicester though, but the less of them the better if the home fans are taking half the stand.

i hope the away fans are where they should be and not put next to the west stand again though.

So the 2,000 tickets they gave out to schools must be in the North Stand then?

We did at RBCS.

Might well have helped turn Jonathan Richards (PA scapegoat) and Mark Gonnella into Royals' fans. Mind you, just googled the latter and found out that he is now Communications Director at Arsenal!

I think the free tickets were also instrumental in this guy becoming a passionate supporter, so they definitely work.

A PRIEST from Eastbourne cheated death during Saturday's horrific train crash near Reading.

Father Jonathan Graves, who works at a secondary school in north Devon, was on the ill-fated 17.35 Great Western service from Paddington to Plymouth, when tragedy struck.

He had been out with four boys for the day watching Reading FC play at a football match.

Father Jonathan said, 'How we walked out alive unscathed I do not know.

'It was all very horrendous.

'Soon after we left Reading there was a shudder.

'The compartment then left the rails. There was a lot of screaming people inside the carriage and the lights went out.

'We were in coach E.

'The compartment turned over by 45 degrees so the windows were grating along the ground.

'Eventually the carriage stopped moving but people had been thrown around inside.

'Two of the lads with me had the good sense to get the emergency light sticks out.

'The smell of the diesel was just everywhere. For about two seconds I thought that was it, death.

'I waited for the fireball to come. But thank goodness it never came.'

He goes on to say that the majority of the victims were pathetic pussies I think
