Absolute shambles, i'm embarrassed for the club and even more gutted that i'm having to consign myself to BBC Berks with a match ticket sitting in my pocket. Apparently another bus failed to turn up too, can't remember the number that the jobsworth on the RFC phone said it was. At least i'm not missing a decent match with goals.... :?

start a boycott. we'll all join in.

Yeah sure - at the end of the season, our boycotts post-relegation are admirable.

tbf, im not sure what they are supposed to do, some weeks the buses are half empty, cant really put on another one on the off chance.
they were thinking about not running them at all as it was too expensive a few seasons ago, so its probably not an option without hiking th eprices- and tbf- the bus from crowthorne goes at 5 to 7, so youd still have enough time to get in a car and drive.

could probably cycle and get there withjout missing much

I was meant to be on the farnborough bus but it never turned up, my little brother was very disappointed.

So it went completely awol instead of just missing my stop? What are the club/bus company saying?

How much is a taxi from Bracknell to the Madejski. About £20-£25? And the bus is what? £6?

If lots of people were stranded after the bus didn't show up then why not order a few people carrier taxis and get to the game rather than miss it? It would have cost a few quid more each but not much.

Spoke to the drivers after the game as the buses were at the game waiting to take people back.

Stagecoach screwed up, forgot to send the buses, apparently not the clubs fault. Drivers got called out at 8pm to do the return journeys

No, it's not. It's all STAR's fault. And what have they done to Feds?!

Sebastian My uncle waited for the Farnbrough bus at Crowthorne and it never came. In the end he drove and gave some others a lift as well.

This is heartening to read. The fact that it was a low support last night could have influenced the bus companies decision.

the attendance did not influence their decision

Stagecoach cocked up

they sent the buses out to take people home, they were waiting after the game

as everyone had to make alternate arrangements to get to the ground the buses went back mostly empty, so they would have lost more money than just not runningthem at all

As I drove home to Wokkers last night after the game I got caught behind two Farnboro football specials in Barkham. Couldn't see how many peeps were in the first one but there were a couple in the second.

as I said, mostly empty

The bracknell and wokingham buses had about 5 people on each of them

I think the basingstoke bus ran as normal, it comes from a different depot

The amount of complaints stagecoach receive are an excellent yardstick for measuring supply and demand. How many will do something proactive over this matter is something else. STAR need to nail their colours to the mast here as this is the nuts and bolts of club liaising with the support. Results over this fiasco are needed. Three weeks to sort this out for those affected please.

Do people who come from places other than Bracknell and Farnborough believe it's the club's responsibility to get them to the game?

Every week I wait hopefully for the bus to come and pick me up at the bottom of Brick Lane, but every week I'm disappointed, and end up having to get on the train again.
