Reading FCPlayer Gripes

by Oilroyal » 16 Sep 2015 19:29

Anyone who's used the FCPlayer for live games would have had their fair share of frustration. Last night was no different with the first 20 minutes of the game being off air. Would be interested to know if anyone else clicked the contact button and gave feedback on connection issue/s last night.

Email response from FCPlayer below.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately there were technical issues at stadium level experienced by BBC Berkshire in the provision of commentary during this game. We've been in communication with them and they have ensured that this issue has now been resolved and will not happen again. I apologise for issue which was experienced.

Kind regards,

Poor response

I emailed Tim dellor after about 15 minutes of silence, to give him a nudge.
Not sure if it had the desired effect, but the commentary came on a few minutes later....

TBH, I've rarely had any problems using it over the last 5-10 years.

Certain matches the commentary is normally a minute behind play which makes it annoying if you also have Twitter and Soccer Saturday on the go

I thought this was going to be about Vydra complaining about the choice of shops in Reading, Sa moaning about the British weather, Robson-Kanu feeling victimised by the fans etc :|

someone on the site found out a surprising thing, did you know that if you having trouble with reading Player, you can connect in to the other teams main web site and with the same loggin and password here the match live ?, I did it for the first twenty minutes of the Derby game, of course instead of Dellor and co you hear the local commentator.

I was thinking about logging in to the Bristol City game to here it in "Brizzle speak", it would be more entertaining than Cricket fan Dellor (hes in my bad books for suggesting Reading fans should be happy with 19th this season, obvoiusly has no idea of fans expectations)
