Does anyone use the Stagecoach buses to/from the ground?

by bobby1413 » 22 Sep 2015 15:31

I've not used it before, but was thinking of trying it tonight but for the return journey only, back to Bracknell, as I want to meet a m8 in town first.

Is it possible to just hop on the journey going back?

Where do the buses leave from - is it out the front of the hotel, in the main car park?

I ask that as the map online makes it look like they drop you and collect down near the South Stand. If that's the case I'm a bit concerned about getting out of Y25, to do a mad dash around three sides of the ground to get down to where the buses leave.

Thanks Ya'all

I get the Basingstoke Stagecoach bus to and from matches.

The drop off point is near the hotel / players entrance and collection is from the roundabout at the bottom of Hurst Way.

I often go to games from London and just get a single back to Basingstoke so can confirm that you should have no problem with a one way trip. And yes it is an absolute ball ache getting around three sides of the ground from Y21 where I sit to the departure point.

Thanks m8

Will get bus to ground from town, then leave just before final whistle and peg it around the ground to Hurst Way

Update:

Bloody fantastic. I can't believe I've not used the bus service back from the ground before. A great solution - especially week nights - if you wanna head to town but don't want to spend 2 hours going back in to reading and out again.

Bus goes within 50m of my house too
