Brogue
25 sheets wow maybe I'm being naive but i was not expecting to be paying 25 quid for an away ticket at a lower-end league 1 side.

Brogue if that's the price of League 1 football then i guess we just have to grin and bare it. but I must admit I wasn't expecting to pay over 20 pounds for a ticket unless we were at one of the bigger teams in the div. What do we think, is this going to be the price for most places?

Combine the game with a weekend stay in Stoke? See the sights.

windermereROYAL You`re not getting anything for less that £20 gentlemen, L1 or not the clubs still have bills to pay.

Plenty of clubs will still charge £20. Exeter, Fleetwood are 2 that will.

blythspartan The last time I went to Port Vale was May 1979. I wonder if I’ll notice a difference.

If that's the game with rain, snow, hail and a pitch invasion . I was there as well
Last game of the season?
Was a dump of a ground and made Elm Park Palatial!

Was that the 3-0 that confirmed promotion?
In 1946 Vale Park was going to be the "Wembley of the north" but funding ran out and it just got sort of left and what work that was done was all completed on a vastly smaller scale. It's a big old open ground as I remember but gives decent views and rather Vale Park than Loftus Road or half a dozen so called shiny plastic boxes built since the mid-80s.
