No sign of actual ticket. Money has been taken from CC and details are on royalty account next to the season ticket itself.

If you did not pay for cup and friendly games they will not be sent out until the week before the first game, but the others are on their way now.

Because the Premiership is a 'different ball game' in the number of officials etc, the car park season tickets will be too many for the red car park and so there may be occasions when the red car park is full and car park season ticket holders will be directed to the upgraded field next to the Dome. The club recognises that this may be less attractive and are offering a refund by 23 August.

So can I take this opportunity to publicise the car park season tickets for STAR members at Christ the King school, a mile from the ground, as surprisingly we have not yet sold all 100 places. Details are available at http://www.star-reading.org. Given the deadline of 23 August it should be possible to make sure of a STAR st before asking for your refund.

I guess it would have been too much to expect to have received this information from the club.

For once that's harsh on the club as the information is contained on a notice included with the CP season ticket (got mine today)

Not getting paranoid just yet but has anyone either renewed their parking ST for the 2007/08 season or received the application form from the club?

Parking may well be restricted next season due to the building works, they will need a compound for materials, and stands are not small items to store.

Maybe they will use the existing compound and store areas ?

Obvioulsy the spaces behind the East Stand will go (largely disabled and staff parking though aren;t they ?

Should be balanced by the return of the temporary hotel spaces that were taken out of the main car park for this season....

They are having a park and ride scheme - you drive to the Oracle and get a bus out to the hotel....

Although serioulsy, as the hotel is a businessmans hotel rather than a holiday one the car park issue doesn't arise much as there are plenty of spaces Monday - Friday bar the odd couple of evening games

The ticket office said everyone who's got a Car Park ST this season will get one next season. The forms are being sent out Monday.

I got mine this morning - £130 for league and cup games (there is not league only option this year) and there is no possibility of new applications so presumably the reduction of space for building is to be gained by non-renewals. There is a note that under certain circumstances to accomodate construction activity, latecomers may be directed to the overflow area behind the Dome with the commensurate warning of the delay of 45 minutes to exit this car park.

That's not much of a difference from this year - that Dome car parking happens now, it's just that people haven't really been warned about it before now.

the only substantial change is the taking away of the option for League matches only (no cups) - this wasn't a great success as it meant every pass needed to be really closely looked at for Cup games to check.

Having looked at this in more detail and having been contacted by a member, there is one new detail which is a surprise and a bit worrying - where it says ...." parking permits cannot be replaced if lost."

In my opinion this is unreasonable - what if someone's car gets stolen, or catches fire. There's a whole multitude of reasons why people might legitimately lose car park permits, and a blanket "no replacements for whatever reason" is less than helpful.

It would be fair to make a charge to people who lose a permit - they can then claim it off their insurance if appropriate. But I really do think this "No replacements" is unacceptable and I'll be talking to the club about it.

I suppose the problem is that they sell the number of permits to match the number of spaces, and they are never closely inspected. So someone could lose one, replace it, and the lost one be used by someone else. Moreover this opens up potential for abuse with someone getting two for the price of one.
