Yes, because people who have spent 20 years following Reading were not about to say 'Maybe I'll skip this season as the prices have got so high'. RFC knew this and have taken full advantage of it. Where were the offers of renewing tickets for the same price before the season was up 'incase Reading get promoted'? The year they know we will the offer disappears because they know this is what the fans have been dreaming about and WILL pay the money. Does that make it right though?Stranded It can be justified as we've sold 18,000 of them.

TommyF I know there has already been much discussion, but the Daily Mail today lists season ticket prices by club and Reading's chepest season tickets at £545 for Adults is the 5th most expensive 'cheap seat' in the league. Only Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham charge more for the cheapest season tickets.
That means it costs more that Chelsea, Man Utd and Newcastle amoungst others.
Good news on the junior front though is that we're only the 9th most expensive for junior season tickets.
Can this really be justified? We probably have some of the lowest wages and we've not exactly splashed out big time have we? Are RFC still putting the fans first? I believe they have successfully done so over the last few years but now have my doubts.

That said, how do Portsmouth, Wigan, Fulham, Watford and Charlton’s prices compare as they have ground capacities of between 20-27k? Not too dissimilar to us.

I assume those are match ticket prices, if so Arsenal beat them comfortably with a match ticket price of £94 (I think).
