Turnstile Access & STs

by Kurtz » 18 Aug 2006 09:37

Does anyone know if the turnstile readers are "stand specific" or whether if you have an STH you can access any stand?

i.e. can someone with a North Stand ST get through the East Stand turnstiles.

Cheers

I doubt it because you would be in the wrong stand and the stewards don't allow you to pass under the railings.

Having never tried this I couldn't say for certain but my educated guess would be that an East Stand ST wouldn't get you into any other stand.

As the ground is liable to be a sell out why would you want to get into another stand, you'd have no place to sit?

We all know that a sell out is where there is only 1000 empty seats, so I'm sure there would be somewhere to sit.

I doubt they would be that stupid to allow the card access to any stand, could cause a lot of trouble if that were possible.

Since you ask... I have an east stand ST. A mate (person A) who is on holiday has a north stand ST. I have that self same north stand ST and am offering it to another mate (person B). Meanwhile another east stand ST mate (person C) can't now make the match but nor can I get hold of his ST in time. So... can person B join me in the east stand (using the north stand card) and sit in the empty seat belonging to person C. Very simple.

Except someone just said, they won't allow you to go under the barrier.

I always thought that ST were actually gate specific, not just stand specific.

I've used both gates 5 & 6 in the North Stand
