Does any one know how season tickets renewal sales are going? Are there going to be many that are not renewed ?

To be honest I dount we'll hear much until mid June.
Not sure why people would pay up now rather than wait and get another few eeks interest on their money so I'm sure the club will be seeing a steady trickle but expecting a huge torrent in the run up to the close date.
There will be some who don;t renew - got to be a 10% churn rate in any season I would think just on the basis of people dying, moving away, going off to college etc without considering anyone who decides they can;t afford it.

I'm told the club are expecting in the region of 3,000 not to renew.

Not surprised given the prices at Chelsea.

I would say 3000 would be a reasonable guess.

If you take the 10% natural wastage and then think that maybe 1000 might be 'One season wonders' or genuinely stretched themselves last season to find the money the numbers look right.

Suspect they'll find plenty to fill the vacancies.

There are a Lot of people who just cannot afford to renew their season ticket this year.. I would guess that when the stadium is expanded the club will have to reduce the prices of season tickets.. If that is not done I suspect that there will be a lot of empty seats.

They would do well to think about reducing match day prices as well.

3,000 non renewals sounds like the number quoted on Sky Sports. Apparantley our non renewal rate is joint lowest in the Prem.

Percentage based of on numbers failing to renew? also thats balls as this is only the secnd season, and not many will have renewed yet.

Don't think they will need to think about it !

They'll at last be able to do it !

Get the stadium up to size and at last it removes a lot of the constraints that we have been under...

I want to renew 3 season tickets but also want to move seats.

The club are making this incredibly difficult, so I'm tempted to say fcuk it and not bother, so that will be another 3 going spare...

How are they making it difficult?

Until the deadline for renewals passes then there are very few seats available and almost certainly not 3 together. There's two weeks between renewals and new sales, I'll be very surprised if there is no movers week during that time.

There is not going to be an official movers week. The club have told me that my only option is to renew, and then they will see if they can move us once all applications are in.

If they can't it's tough luck and I have to sit in the same seat as last season. No refunds.

I completely understand that they can't process any movers requests until everyone has applied. However, I don't appreciate being forced into buying a season ticket regardless of where I end up being placed.

Fair enough, that does surprise me and see why you're annoyed. I can only assume at current they are not anticipating enough not renewing to make a mover's week worthwhile. Though with estimates of 3,000 not, that would be shortsighted.

Shall be renewing mine later this week for what it's worth.
