Madejski to Reading Station

by HereWeCome » 07 Dec 2007 16:00

I have never got the bus back from the ground to the station before but am getting the train back to London tomorrow after the game. How long does it generally take from the end of the match, queuing for the bus then getting the bus to the station?

Leaving at full time too, not 5 minutes from the end. Thanks

I leave from the North bang on final whistle and usually get the first or second bus, back in town within 15 minutes and in the pub. If you are only getting the bus back then just wave an old credit card receipt cunningly folded up to look like a bus ticket and save yourself £3

I've done this several times and it works a treat.

Serves the kunts right for profiteering.

It really isn't that bad considering - i've done it a few times from leaving bang on the whistle, to hanging around for a few minutes. The queue is always moving down and they're always loading 2 buses at once.

You can get on with any old bus ticket.

I used to leave the East stand (Y25) after the final whistle, get stuck in the hoards of people leaving, get to the bus queue and think, "oxf*rd that" and walk back to town.

I now park at Halfords and probably get back home before I would if I caught the bus.
