Standing at Tottenham

by Jerry St Clair » 03 Jan 2008 13:32

How was it on Saturday in the lower tier?

I specifically asked for tickets near the back for the cup game, so I'm hopeful I'll be able to stand unhindered. Or will I, again, be subjected to some old wakner squealing "sit daaarn" a nano second after kick off?

It was pretty much all seating but still a fairly decent atmosphere. The number of goals and chances was obviously going to influence the amount of standing but not too many 'squealers' in attendance.

This time though you'll probably find many of those in the upper tier at the league game willl now be lower tier, and vice versa.

Should have gone West Ham Jerry, stood all game and police had no problems whatsoever.

AST holders are in the lower tier this time and were in the upper tier last time,

if you are in the back couple of rows of the bottom tier at the lefthand side you can't see quarter of the pitch from your seat so you'll spend half the game standing anyway

The Spurs fans in the lower tier to the right of the away section did a terrific job of standing up for most of the first half. Most of the stewards ignored them but the tango who was pitchside kept gesturing (with both arms) for them to sit down. The Spurs fans merely returned the gesture in a sort of mocking worship of the steward. When he eventually got them to sit down again they'd start "Stand up if you hate Arsenal".

Kept me entertained until the goals started flying in.

Exactly how we should start reacting to out jobsworths.

They come and moan to someone and we all stand together. What will he/she do then?

Plus it helped increase the atmosphere on tuesday with the clap clap blue army.

I'd prefer to be lower tier tbh.

Can't be helped though.

I had that at home to Liverpool , someone asked me if i could see alright when everyone else around me was standing. What should I do sit down so he can see and I can't? Idiot. Stand if I stand.

I much prefer to see the game so I'm happy up there. And I'll be standing as much as possible.
