Anybody able to confirm that the HP/Compaq car park will be open on Boxing Day?

Or park on Island Road - the tip won't be open so anywhere past the entrance to the sewage works should be fair game (and free).

Given the amount of parking tickets in evidence on Tuesday night in the Bennet and Commercial Roads vicinity, I’d be damn careful where you park. Doubt RBC’s traffic wardens will be on holiday.

As an aside, buses will cost an extra £1 on Boxing Day.

As divers will be on extra that sounds fair, dont the town buses do two runs, with 70 capacity approx, so extra 3140 per bus, that should cover the extra wages.

Greeed, £4-50 for a return is a oxf*rd disgrace. Reading Buses are utter pcunts, especially considering they charge football fans more than rugby fans for the same service.

No I'm sure they will be on double time and looking for a massive post Xmas bonus based on the number of tickets they can give out!

RBC really are a complete and utter bunch of barstewards when it comes to making life a complete misery for any football supporters who dare to use a car to get to the game and then need to find somewhere to park. Not content with their current level of persecution/revenue they seem intent on hunting out every piece of highway that is suitable for parking and slapping down double yellow lines on it!

Lazy barstewards who insist on parking where ever is most convenient for them, regardless of what safety hazards/inconvenience they cause to others, deserve every fine that they get. However, there is no excuse for RBCs policy of banning parking in areas where it is perfectly safe and causes no problems to other road users.

Given that they are virtually full to capacity, I very much doubt the football buses would make a loss, even with the drivers on double pay! Still, let's force the supporters out of their cars and then fleece them when they get on the bus!

I noticed there is a new car park on Acre Road, only £5 and easier to get out of than HP. Give that a go instead.

Smash the bus up a little bit, lets all cause £1.20 of damage...net loss for the bus company
