I'm thinking of phoning up the ticket office to find out if there is any possibility of any tickets....might be a waste of time.

No, it wasn't. I've just bagged myself a ticket, in Y24! The man said that there were still some tickets in ALL stands. So, it's not exactly a sell out.

I just wondered why I couldn't buy this ticket off the online ticketing site. A scam to get people to phone up the 0870 number?

Why does the club announces games are sold out when they are not?

Cardiff was called as a sellout a couple of days before the game and there were a couple of thousand empty seats.

Fair chance that there were a few STH not able to get to the game on Boxing Day, I don't think the club announced in advance that every seat would actually be sat in !!
I doubt there is the issue (which was discussed at length last season) of significan tnumbers of seats needing to be held back for sponsors...

Have the club actually announced that Wolves is sold out? I've just been looking at the official site and couldn't see anything.

Last night, when I went on the official website to use the online ticketing, I found that I couldn't purchase a ticket for the Wolves game as it said it was sold out. I've just looked on there now and it doesn't say that anymore. :|

Unlikely. IIRC they have got rid of the 0870 number.

Indeed - it is an 0844 number now (and has been since the start of the season).
