Deathy Because it's a pointless friendly and waste of our money. It's not like we have a bog signing to go and see either, is it?

You missed a really enjoyable game. I guess a day sunbathing on the beach, or watching the cricket or maybe having a BBQ were preferable to you..?

Spending £3.10 on a egg and bacon bagette and can of coke was preferable to spending £35 on a train ticket, £15 - 25 quid on a match ticket, £3.80 on a cheese burger and £7 on two pints. Plus losing my entire day.

Alan Partridge We had our first pre season game today, that and you couldnt' pay me enough money to go to a game that chelsea are playing, 4500 retards in the south stand, some of football's most odious characters in their line up and it's a friendly. Nah you're alright ta.

Well, each to their own - if indoor bowls with the over-70s is your bag, who am I to judge?

Yeah, the cost of travel's a bugbear with me too. But I'm a tightass, I eat and drink before leaving for the match. It's not an Arctic expedition - I can go five hours without sustenance.

That's why I'm going to kidnap and rape them. You don't have to pay then.
(Crikey I'm in a frighteningly strange mood tonight! I'm really not going to do that)
