Burton Albion

Does anyone on here how many the club are expecting tomorrow night? It's August and a lot of STHs will stay away, but we still tend to get a reasonable showing in the first round of the Carling Cup at home. It's unreserved seating tomorrow. Just bought mine online and the club are only selling tickets in a few blocks, which would suggest a really low crowd. Unless more have been sold but tickets are only available online in a few areas.

When the club know the crowd will be so small, why on earth don't they say it's kid for quid and adults for a fiver or something? Just get bums on seats.

Because Burton and the Football League also get a say in the matter.

Handed a leaflet on the bus on Saturday (72A) which said only the shuttle buses from the station would be running.

Prob not that many more to be honest. Cant imagine £10 to get in has put people off, more like they just dont fancy it.

Could have done with the club publicising the lack of parking (No HP / FW) and buses BEFORE I bought my ticket last night! BASTARDS!!!

The crowd will not be as high as 5,000. There are NO urban buses on tonight,
so anyone who normally catches a bus from Yateley, Farnboro etc etc are stuck.
In addition, a number of the car parks and park&ride are closed.

Attendances for the first couple of rounds of the Carling Cup are always pitiful,
and the entrance fee is pretty much set by the Football League (so unable to do
quid-a-kid or whatever).

I can see the crowd tonight even being below 4,000...but that's the first few rounds
of the Carling Cup for you. On a positive note, it'll be easy to get a beer in the Jazz
and at half-time ! Every cloud......

fantastic! parked in the stadium car park rather than miles away, waited to the final whistle, back to the car, waited 10 minutes while the pedestrians cleared and then gone, was back in weybridge about 10:40.

It used to be like this every week!
