Christ. You are a [deleted]. I am more worried that Andros Townsend is injured. Fúck Walcott, he's overrated.

German forward Max Kruse (nope, me neither) kicking up a stink at not being in the squad.

"I had a video shoot lined up to introduce me to the squad! This is not right, this hurts"

No I'm a Rooney is a good player, particularly in domestic football, who has largely failed to fulfil the promise he showed as a young player and is incredibly overhyped by the English media and fans.

Especially when they start calling him things like 'our Messi or Ronaldo' person.

I was directing it at AS

But the fact you recognise he's a decent domestic player means he has it and is still our best player, whether he has shown it or not. I mean Messi is one of the best players in the world but how many decent world cups has he had?

1 goal out of the last 3 major tournaments we've been in.
Rubbish!

Odds of Rooney saying "Nice to hear your own fans booing" after a 0-0 draw with Costa Rica - 3/1
Odds of Rooney scoring in the World Cup - 15/1

....if Rooney is our best, then god help us etc etc .com

Seriously, his previous WC credentials have hardly been anything for anybody to get (as you say) "excited" about.

Make this one count Roons boy....it could be your last

As a Welsher I wish England all the best, honest. I think they will do well. Personally I think Brazil will win it and Italy will be runners up. I suspect a surprise like Chile in the Semi with Germany.

Just think though if we gave England Bale and Ramsay what chance England then. They have all the talent England are devoid of.

Hard to see past a South American winner. Argentina have the easiest run to the quarter finals. So Argentina for me.
Brazil in the final too.

Has a host country ever gone out in the early rounds?

You have to go all the way back to 2010 to find an example of this.
