Torres has never been the same since his injury. And a broken vertebrae is a whole lot worse then a hamstring tear.

Brazil have, apparently, decided to contest Thiago Silva's yellow card picked up for fouling the goalkeeper in the Colombia game.

As FIFA have consistently been against even red cards being rescinded, it was interesting to hear the FIFA spokeswoman state that they were looking at the evidence presented to them by the Brazilian FA........surely the correct response would have been "ref gave a yellow card, get over it"?

If the yellow IS rescinded and he is allowed to play, that will of course NOT be proof at all that Brazil are in any way getting favourable decisions nor that there is any sort of conspiracy to ensure that they win the World Cup.....

I said that, you're risking a lot of core strength, the recovery from any procedure could be quite long.

Why would it be over-turned?! Ridiculous, he obstructed the goalkeeper, which every single time I have seen that happen is a yellow card! Brazil are scared and looking for excuses. If it is overturned, this will be the most ridiculous, biased thing to happen.

Since when have yellow cards ever been rescindable?

Appeal rejected; also no retrospective punishment for the Colombian who broke Neymar's back:

Good. Never heard of an appeal because of a yellow card anyway. Clutching at straws.

Never seen that as a yellow though, only ever as a red.
