I'm not.......I just can't stand Gary Neville. Or most of the other pundits come to think of it.....but especially the ones who think their opinions are important when to me they frankly are not. If Neville wants to play politics he should join a political party and then I can form an opinion, rather than him publicly banging on about his beliefs when it's supposed to be about football.......same goes for his punditry and what he "thinks" teams/managers should do.
I like listening to managers who have had decent careers talk. Davis Pleat used to be a brilliant co commentator....inciteful and informative.......Dixon, Neville, Carragher etc just stat the f*cking obvious 95% of the time.

'greed! Like GNev as a United fan but feel the same as you about his comments on managing/coaching

We have a lot of proof that he's not very good at it...he makes comments that sound that you can control things in that environment

and the political stuff is a little cringe...

Absolutely...."cringe" is a good word for him. You as a united fanish.....how did you rate him as a full back?
I always felt he was someone you could replace easily, whereas the likes of Denis Irwin was an absolute legend and was so much more than just a full back and was always badly missed. Bit like Ashley Cole or Paulo Maldini....utte legendary full backs. He seems to have escalated himself up there with the real greats......which he isn't.

Nah I really rate him as a player, an amazing partnership with Becks.

You don't hang around at United that long if you can't play

What will be on nobbers play lists in the build up to tomorrow’s game?
On Days like these seems appropriate to me.

AthleticoSpizz Still trying to work out how Roy Keane (IRELAND) is a pundit on ITV ENGLAND yes ENGLAND games?

Because ITV and BBC always try to get a range of nationalities in the studio, he played in England for years and he's one of their go to pundits for football in general?

Didn’t have you marked down as a Tory boy Tim Ascot.

Neville is a fairly decent pundit. Carragher is OK too. Both are fairly passionate about what they do

Certainly shouldn’t be tarnished with the same brush as Dixon!

Does no one else remember when Dixon was lauded as the shit and there was much gnashing and wailing when he moved from Beeb to ITV?

Also, co-commentator, not a pundit these days.

well yes, obviously.
But I’d get it more if we were playing Ireland or something, much in the Jurgen Klinsmann way when he was wheeled out when we played Germany.
Do these ‘other nationalities’ not have enough English speaking pundits?

That, and he’s a tw4t

Wiz isn’t going. He decided the trains needed someone to drive them so I’m going with a friend instead!

Is this a male or female friend Mrs Wiz? I think HobNob has a right to know.

Mr Angry Not sure if mentioned before, but an interesting counterpoint to all those who claim England only won through a soft penalty decision.

Just using this as a jumping in point

Italy's opposition were only 373 accumulated FIFA ranking points greater than England's i.e.

9625 - 9262 = 373

San Marino are lowest ranked at 810 points
