One of the most miserable tournaments in living memory. Devoid if any charm, excitement or entertainment. That was a very fitting final.

6ft Kerplunk Seems a long time since the 90s when pundits were reckoning there would be an African winner of the World Cup soon. Its surprising how little progress seems to have been made considering the amount of African players plying their trade in the top European leagues these days.

Don't disagree with the sentiment, but it is most of the squad playing in Europe's top leagues, albeit many in France (Africa) vs. the best sides in the world comprising of those playing in England/Germany/Italy. It's still a big gap to bridge.
