Apparently in training they've been lining up as:

Foster

Milner
Jones
Smalling
Shaw

Lamps
Wilshere

Ox
Barkley
Rooney

Lambert

My take on the Ecuador friendly last night.

Milner is not a right back. Rooney lacks the discipline to play wide. Lampard disappeared. Back four was not covered sufficiently by the midfield.

Ox looked good, Barkley was positive and Lambert will do really well off the bench.

As for Rooney, If I was Hodgson, I would give him the Italy game to prove that he warrants a starting place in the rest of the tournament. If he fails to impress, discard him.

Milner makes many mistakes but it's only because he's really busy. He does have the ability to change a game if played wide and his effort is incred. I really like him.....he's a slow winger, which is why people always moan, but he's good at passing and holding the game up to bring players forward.
