Why Belguim as flops? Not sure they have the firepower up front but don't think they'll flop (unless you think they're being overhyped?)

As he had had a few mentions - Ageuro (and Suarez for that matter) is 16/1 to be top scorer. A slightly skewed market as Messi is 8/1, and no-one else is shorter than 14/1.

Winners - Brazil
Top scorer - Aguero
Biggest flops - Holland
England - QFs

Belgium are 5th favourites to win. Scarily young team. Every attacking player is 27 or younger, and only two over 30 in the squad.

They looked solid in Scotland's group, but it was one of the easier qualifications. QFs would be a great achievement, with Germany or Portugal to get past in the last 16.

I really want them to do really well, but I cannot see it. Well, I cannot see them winning it or making it to the final, and I can imagine an earlier than expected exit (and hopefully then the exit of Löw). I would love to be wrong so maybe I am just being overly pessimistic - hence my prediction that England will reach the Q-F

And fwiw, although we don't have a 'biggest surprise' category - I think Chile might very well get out of Group B; unfortunately they will probably then face Brazil.

Quick copy & paste of mine from the other thread then... :?

Winner: Germany

Runner-up: Brazil

Surprise package: Chile (It's their continent so can handle the heat, already put on a great performance at Wembley recently. Dark horses for me.)

England: Group Stages

Top Scorer: Suarez/Neymar. Both with 6.

with the additional biggest flops...

The Netherlands

The majority of their team plays in Brazil, Spain, Chile.. I should imagine they can handle the humidity regardless

Its my favourite pundit generalisation at the moment. Heard someone talk up Chile the other day and it was pretty muh purely based on them being 'used to the climate'
