double d Listening to Mark Lawrenson on in the USA and Portugal game has made me want to gouge my eyes out. Constantly cracking cap jokes. Called Varela the Portuguese Darius Vassal for no reason whatsoever.

double d I think this is the worst punditry I have ever seen at anything n football related. Robbie Savage actually said to Gary Lineker that he thinks Gary Neill should be drafted in to be involved with the England squad. Lineker just looked at him like an idiot and said but he is part of the coaching staff already.

paultheroyal Hoddle calling Algeria Al-Jazeera in his analysis at half time
Dr Carey on The Guardian I believe you may be doing Mr Hoddle a disservice. Algeria in Arabic is al-jazâ'ir, which is both very similar to al-jazîra and, etymologically speaking, is in fact simply a variation of the word, which means 'island'. When you move in international circles like Mr Hoddle and are constantly shifting from one language to another, it can sometimes be hard to keep track of such trifling distinctions.
